I was not able to be at our building site during much of the construction, so choosing someone I could trust was very important. Dave proved to be as good as his word throughout the project. He kept me posted regularly through phone and email. He was thorough and professional, and he often went above and beyond our expectations.

Dave goes the extra mile because he clearly loves what he does. Both the 100 square foot pump house and the 4,000 square foot barn he built for us received the same care and attention to detail. Dave has studied many old barns and is aware of the importance of proportions and style. He hand picked quality lumber and carefully protected it during the building process. Nothing creates confidence like a builder that cares about your building as much as you do.

From the initial design stages on a scrap of paper to stamped plans to construction and following up on the final details required by the county Dave made the process seem easy. Every project has its set backs, and Dave dealt with each new issue, gracefully steering the project to completion efficiently working with county offices and other contractors.

We started with raw land, and Dave worked with our neighbors, lawyers, county offices, easement agreements, bringing electricity to the property, contractors for the septic system, well and road, and more. Throughout it all he was careful to advocate for our needs and what would be best for the whole project.

Dave and his crew at Legacy Mountain Barns built us a beautiful, functional, sturdy barn. Unlike other experiences we've had with contractors, Dave actually showed up every day as he had promised and was true to his word that there would be no "meltdowns" during the building process.
